Itinerary

Day 1: Marrakech – Asni – Imi Oughlad – Tacht Pass – Tiziane (1950 m)

Departure from Marrakech at 8:00 AM toward Imi Oughlad, a charming Berber village surrounded by terraced fields. Here you will meet your muleteers and prepare for your trek.

We begin with a gentle ascent to the Tacht Pass (2000 m), offering impressive views over the village’s colorful landscapes. The trail continues through a serene forest of red juniper and holm oak before reaching a refreshing natural spring—our lunch spot.

After lunch, we descend for about an hour until we reach Tiziane, a warm and welcoming village where we spend the night in a traditional Berber homestay.

Day 2: Tiziane – Téouti Pass (2400 m) – Tkent (2150 m)

Today’s journey features a beautiful climb shaded by towering walnut trees. As we gain altitude, the landscapes become more dramatic and the views more impressive.

At the Tiziane shepherd hut, we recommend purifying water from springs or streams—an essential step for trekkers not accustomed to mountain water.

We then continue through a forest of thuriferous junipers until we reach the Téouti Pass (2400 m). After descending to Assaka for lunch, we proceed to Tizgui, known for its remarkable architecture and traditional mountain life. Overnight with a local Berber family.

Day 3: Tkent – Tougdalt Pass (2700 m) – Tizi Oussem (1950 m)

This stage offers some of the most stunning and preserved landscapes of the Toubkal region.

After a 7:30 AM breakfast, we begin our ascent toward the Tazaghart plateau, with sunlight revealing the impressive 3,600-meter peaks above us. The climb takes about 2.5 hours on a comfortable trail, followed by a long descent through juniper forests.

Lunch is served in the peaceful shade of ancient walnut trees beside the Azaden River, one of the most beautiful valleys in the Atlas Mountains. In the afternoon, we continue to Tizi Oussem, where we stay overnight with a local family.

Day 4: Tizi Oussem – Mzik Pass – Imlil – Return to Marrakech

We leave the Azaden Valley and begin an ascent toward the Mzik Pass (2450 m), offering stunning views of the surrounding landscapes and Mount Toubkal’s ridges.

After a 2.5-hour hike, we descend into the lush Imlil Valley, famous for its orchards and green terraces. Lunch will be served under the shade of walnut trees on a beautiful terrace.

In the afternoon, our driver will take you back to Marrakech, ending this unforgettable mountain adventure.
